I’m always fascinated with treasure box in fairy tales .
Last year , i have a chance to make my own . I chose wood with obvious grain lines and certain level of irregular texture. Trying to make it as old as possible, the surface is painted with dirty color , all metal parts were under salty hot water treatment to achieve rustic color.
